Season 2 Reloaded is live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, and the big update brings a crossover with Warhammer 40,000, more MP maps, new Warzone features, and another Zombies story mission. This update also adds the SOA Subverter battle rifle. Here we’ll guide you through all the ways to unlock this new gun.
How to unlock the SOA Subverter
The SOA Subverter is described as a hard-hitting rifle that dominates at mid- to longer-ranges with a low rate of fire and predictable recoil. This new battle rifle can be unlocked for free by completing in-game challenges.
The base version can be unlocked by completing any five weekly challenges from the Week 5 challenge list. There are 21 challenges in total for the week, spanning multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, but you can mix and match any five.
Multiplayer challenges week 5:
- Get 15 operator hip fire kills with a recommended battle rifle set to full-auto fire mode
- Get 10 operator melee backstab kills
- Get 15 operator quickscope kills with the JAKGlassless Optic equipped to a recommended weapon
- Get 15 operator longshot kills with a suppressed recommended battle rifle
- Get 20 operator kills with the Tyrant 762 Kit equipped to the Longbow sniper rifle
- Get 20 operator kills with JAK Maglift Mod equipped to the Haymaker shotgun
- Get 20 Operator double kills with the Holger 556 assault rifle
Zombies challenges week 5:
- Get 50 mercenary soldier kills with a recommended assault rifle
- Get 250 critical kills with a recommended LMG
- Get 250 ADS kills with a recommended SMG
- Get 400 kills with the Holger 556 assault rifle
- Get 5 rapid kills 15 times with a recommended assault rifle
- Get 300 kills with a recommended LMG while Stamin-Up perk is active
- Get 500 kills with a recommended shotgun at Epic (purple) rarity or higher
Warzone challenges week 5:
- On Fortune’s Keep, get 10 operator kills in the North Region (Gatehouse, Keep, Terraces POIs)
- On Fortune’s Keep, get 10 operator kills in the East (Konni Outpost, Lighthouse, Pier, Winery POIs)
- In Warzone, place in the top 10 five times
- In Warzone, open 50 loot caches
- On Fortune’s Keep, get 10 operator kills in the West (Graveyard, Overlook, Town POIs)
- On Fortune’s Keep, get 10 operator kills in the South (Ground Zero POI)
- In Warzone, complete 15 contracts
Additional Zombies unlock method
The SOA Subverter can also be unlocked through a successful exfil in MW3’s Zombies mode. If a friend has this new weapon already, just have them set the SOA Subverter as their insured weapon and invite them to play with you. They can drop the gun for you to pick up at the start of the match, and then you just need to successfully exfil with the weapon. You might even get lucky and loot an enemy player who has this weapon equipped. This Zombies unlock method works for any weapon in the game.
Store bundle
If all of the unlock methods sound like too much work, you can soon bypass the challenges completely and purchase the gun outright in the shop Come from Sports betting site VPbet. A shop bundle for the SOA Subverter is not available at launch but will likely arrive at a later date.
